What's in the boxPair of boots, assist strap, guide
One pair of LoftLock gravity boots (left + right, black), the assist strap for mounting and dismounting, and a plain-language quick-start + safety guide. Read the guide before your first hang — it takes four minutes and it's written for humans. The pull-up bar is not included — LoftLock hooks onto any securely mounted 1–1.5 in bar you already own (sold separately).
The 60-second hang from a doorway pull-up bar

The 6 p.m. feeling

“The day stacks up on you. One direction, all day, every day.”

Desk, car, couch — you spend fourteen waking hours folded forward with gravity pressing the same way the whole time. The one direction you never move is the one that lets everything hang long.

LoftLock flips that for sixty seconds. Hook on, ease back, and let your shoulders, arms, and everything in between stretch the opposite way for once. People describe the first ten seconds as “that ahh feeling.” We can't put it better, so we won't try.

It's not a workout program and it's not a treatment. It's a minute of full-length stretch you can't get standing up — and it's over before the kettle boils.

Pairs well with the doorway bar a 60-second playlist exhaling on purpose the end of the workday

How to hang

Four steps. Sixty seconds. Two of those clicks.

1
Check your bar firstAny securely mounted 1–1.5 in pull-up bar — doorway unit seated correctly, rack-mounted, or bolted to a joist — rated above your body weight. Dead-hang from it by your hands first. If the bar isn't solid, don't hang.
2
Latch both boots — two clicks eachWrap the cuff snug over your ankle (socks or leggings are fine), fold the cam latch over until it clicks, then flip the safety catch over it until it clicks again. Two boots, four clicks, ten seconds.
3
Hook on and ease backHands on the bar, hook one boot over, then the other. Lower yourself back slowly until you're hanging, arms overhead. First week: 30–60 seconds is plenty. Breathe slower than feels necessary.
4
Come back up calmCurl up, grab the assist strap, pull your chest toward your knees, take the bar with both hands, unhook one boot, then the other, feet to floor. Ten unhurried seconds. No drama, no flailing.

Why not the $39 pair

The same silhouette exists cheaper. The latch is where the money went.

Search “gravity boots” and you'll find lookalikes for $39. We know — we bought them. When you're the thing hanging from the bar, the difference isn't the silhouette. It's whether the buckle has a second catch, whether the foam spreads the hold or bites, and whether anyone wrote down how to get back up.

LoftLock spends the extra thirty dollars where your ankles are: a steel C-frame band, a fold-over cam latch backed by a secondary safety catch, 1.2 in of dense NBR foam, an assist strap in every box, and instructions written in plain language.

🔨Steel C-frame bandThe load path is a contoured steel band around the cuff — not stitching, not plastic. The fabric is the comfort layer; the steel is the structure.
🔒Fold-over cam latch + safety catchClick one closes the cam. Click two locks the catch over it. Nothing swings open because a cuff brushed the doorframe.
🧸1.2 in NBR foamDense, slow-rebound padding that spreads the hold across the whole ankle. Snug like a good boot, not tight like a clamp.
🪝Curved rear hook, 1–1.5 in barsThe hook seats deep over standard doorway and rack bars and stays seated while you're moving. On and off with your hands still on the bar.

The $30 difference, itemized

  • Secondary safety catch on the latch
  • Load-tested steel C-frame, rated 300 lb
  • 1.2 in pressure-spreading foam
  • Assist strap for the dismount
  • 30 days to change your mind

The $39 pair saves you thirty dollars right up until you're upside down. (Hover the list.)

Safety, said out loud

The part most product pages whisper. We'll go first.

Hanging upside down is a real position and we sell it like one. Here is everything we'd want to know before trusting a buckle with our own ankles — on the page, not buried in a PDF.

🔒
Two clicks, every wearThe fold-over cam latch closes with a click. The secondary safety catch locks over it with a second click. Make both clicks a habit — check each boot before you hook on, every single time.
⚖️
Rated to 300 lb — and your bar counts tooThe boots are load-rated to 300 lb (136 kg) per pair. A boot is only as strong as what it hangs from: your bar and its mounting must be rated above your body weight, seated or bolted correctly, and tested with a hands-only dead hang first.
🪢
The assist strap is not optional décorLoop it over the bar before you mount. Going up, it steadies you. Coming down, you pull on it to bring your chest to your knees so your hands reach the bar. Use it until the dismount is boring — then keep using it.
⬇️
“How do I get down?” — plainlyCurl up. Grab the assist strap and pull your chest toward your knees. Take the bar with both hands. Unhook one boot, then the other. Lower your feet to the floor. That's it. Practice the whole sequence once on a low bar with someone nearby before your first solo hang.

Who should not hang

Do not use LoftLock if you are pregnant, or if you have high blood pressure, glaucoma, or a heart condition. Being fully inverted changes how your body carries pressure, and those are exactly the situations where you don't experiment.

Under a doctor's care for anything else, or simply unsure? Ask them before your first hang. And if you'd rather not risk it, use the 30-day return window instead — we'd genuinely rather refund you than have you guess.

First hangs: low bar, someone nearby, 30–60 seconds. Come up slowly. Never hang alone until the dismount feels routine, and never on a bar you haven't tested.

Why two pairs?

One hangs at home. One waits in the garage.

The honest failure mode of a 60-second ritual is friction — the boots being in the other room is all it takes to skip a day. A second pair removes the excuse, and a partner makes the minute better company.

🏠The doorway pairLives on the doorway bar, cuffs already sized to your ankles. The after-work hang happens because it's ten feet from your desk.
🏋️The partner pairOne hangs, one counts, then you trade. Nobody re-adjusts cuffs to someone else's ankles, and the dismount always has a spotter.

And the third? It gets gifted — usually to the person who groans standing up from the couch and swears they're fine.

The product is excellent, honestly, its quality is very good. I used it with people whose weight reached 100 kilograms, and it was very sturdy. As for the price, I think $50 would be appropriate and fair.

Straight answers

Including the one everybody actually wants to ask.

How do I get down?
The question everyone asks first, so here it is first. Curl up like the start of a sit-up, grab the assist strap, and pull your chest toward your knees until your hands reach the bar. Hold the bar, unhook one boot, then the other, and lower your feet to the floor. It takes about ten seconds and gets boring fast — which is exactly what you want. Practice the full sequence once on a low bar with someone nearby before your first solo hang.
Will my doorway bar hold me?
Check three things: the bar is 1–1.5 in in diameter, it's rated above your body weight (the rating is printed on the box or the bar itself), and it's seated or bolted exactly the way its instructions describe. Then test it with a hands-only dead hang and a few controlled bounces before you ever hook a boot over it. Rack-mounted and joist-mounted bars are the gold standard; a properly seated doorway bar is fine. A tension-only bar you've never checked is not. Don't own a bar yet? LoftLock doesn't include one — any securely mounted 1–1.5 in pull-up bar sold anywhere works.
I've never been upside down. How do I start?
Slowly, and with company. First session: low bar, someone nearby, latch both boots (two clicks each), hook on, ease back, hang for 30–60 seconds, come back up with the strap. That's the whole workout for the first week. Add time gradually as it starts to feel ordinary. Come up before you want to, not after — and always come up slowly.
What's the weight limit?
The boots are load-rated to 300 lb (136 kg) per pair. Your bar has its own rating, and the lower of the two numbers is your real limit — always check both.
Will the cuffs fit my ankles?
The cuff adjusts around most ankles and the 1.2 in foam does the fine-tuning. Wear them over socks, leggings, or joggers — snug enough that the boot doesn't rotate, never so tight it bites. If they genuinely don't fit you, that's what the 30-day return window is for.
Is this good for my back?
We're only going to promise what we can stand behind: a full-length hang is the deepest stretch most people take all day, and most people find it genuinely pleasant — that's the “ahh.” LoftLock is fitness equipment, not a medical device, and it doesn't treat anything. If you have a health condition or you're hoping it will help with one, that's a conversation for your doctor, not a product page.
Who shouldn't use it?
Don't hang if you're pregnant, or if you have high blood pressure, glaucoma, or a heart condition. If you're under a doctor's care for anything else — or you're unsure for any reason — ask them before your first hang. We'd rather you check than guess, and we'd rather refund you than have you risk it.
What if I don't like it?
Message us within 30 days of delivery and we'll walk you through an easy return and refund. No restocking games. Hanging upside down is not for everyone and we price the risk accordingly.
Is this a medical device?
No. LoftLock is fitness and recovery equipment — steel, foam, and a bar hook, for stretching and unwinding. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition.

Turn the day upside down. Briefly.

LoftLock is fitness and recovery equipment, not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and nothing on this page is health advice. Individual experience varies — we make no promises about outcomes.

Do not use if you are pregnant, or if you have high blood pressure, glaucoma, or a heart condition. If you are under a doctor's care for anything, or unsure for any reason, consult your doctor before use. Inverting carries inherent risk: use only with a securely mounted 1–1.5 in pull-up bar rated above your body weight, confirm both latch clicks on every boot before every hang, keep early sessions to 30–60 seconds, come up slowly, and read the included guide before first use. Practice mounting and dismounting on a low bar with another person present. Keep away from children.

The 300 lb (136 kg) load rating applies to the boots only — always verify your bar and its mounting separately. Price comparisons refer to typical retail pricing for similar products and are provided for general reference only.
