We'd rather say that up front than let a video oversell it. CalmClip is a small white unit, two ear clips, and twenty minutes. It's not a personality transplant and it's not a shortcut past a hard week.

Clip on — both earsWipe your earlobes so they're clean and dry, press the adhesive pad onto the clip, and clip one to each ear. Takes about fifteen seconds once you've done it twice.

Press ON, pick a modeThe screen wakes up at 20:00. Tap Mode to cycle through the pulse patterns until you find the one you like. Most people settle on a favourite in the first week and never change it again.

Dial it to a soft ticklePower up one press at a time. You want a gentle tapping you'd forget about mid-conversation — never anything sharp. If it stings, power down. Lower is better than braver.

Let the clock run outSit back and do nothing on purpose. At 00:00 it stops by itself. Unclip, peel the pads back onto their liner, and put it away.

The product seems to work well. It arrived without a bag. I would like to know where to find the adhesive electrodes that stick to the lobe to transmit electricity, because only 2 pairs are included and they won't last long.

Is there really no app or subscription?▼
Really. There's nothing to download, no account to make, no Bluetooth to pair and no monthly charge. Every control lives on the unit — Mode, Power up, Power down, On/Off — and the countdown is on the screen. You pay once and that's the end of the transaction.
What does it actually feel like?▼
Like a light, rhythmic tapping or tickling right at the ear where the clip sits. Start at the lowest level and press Power up one step at a time until you can just notice it. That's the level to stay at. If it ever feels sharp or prickly, you've gone too high — press Power down. Higher is not better here.
Do the electrode pads wear out?▼
Yes, and we'd rather be blunt about it: the adhesive pads are consumables. They lose their stick over repeated sessions, faster if your skin is oily or you don't clean your earlobes first. Your device comes with 2 pairs of spare pads beyond the ones fitted to the clips. When those are done, standard replacement pads are inexpensive and widely available. Peel them back onto their liner after every session — that alone roughly doubles how long they last.
How long is a session, and how often can I use it?▼
The timer runs 20 minutes and then shuts itself off, which is the point — you don't have to decide when you're finished. Most people build it into one part of the day: the afternoon slump, or the half hour before bed as part of a wind-down. Start with one session a day and see how you like it before adding more.
Is this the “vagus nerve” thing I keep seeing?▼
It's the ear-clip style of device that gets sold under that label, yes — we just call it what it is: a calm device that sends gentle pulses through two ear clips on a twenty-minute timer. We're not going to dress that up with promises about what it does inside your body. Try it for the ritual; keep it if the ritual is worth it to you.
How do I charge it?▼
Plug the included USB cable into the unit and any normal charger or laptop port. There's no dock, no cradle and no proprietary brick. A full charge covers many sessions; you'll top it up occasionally, not nightly.
